How Many Days After Fertilization Does Implantation Occur?

Fertilization is a tedious process in which sperm and egg unite together to form a fertilized egg (Zygote). The Fertilized Egg or Zygote consists of the genetic material of both egg and sperm. It occurs in the part of the fallopian tube that is ampullary. After the ovulation, the egg is picked by the fimbriae of the fallopian tube. After that, the egg is transported to the ampullary. After the sexual intercourse, sperms collected in the vagina. After that, sperm travels through the cervix, urine cavity. Further, it reached the fallopian tube by swimming.

The lifespan of fertilized eggs is approximately twelve to twenty-four hours, while the lifespan of sperm is approximately forty to seventy-two hours. In addition to it, implantation indicates the early stage of the pregnancy. It occurs when the egg is fertilized and attaches to the uterus of women. This process usually occurs after 6 to 12 days of conception.

Implantation is an early sign of pregnancy:

The traveling of fertilized eggs down to the fallopian tube and towards the uterus is divided into numerous cells. After that, these cells become the cluster of a hundred cells. This cluster is known as a blastocyst. Moreover, the blastocyst has a thin outer layer and the larger group of cells in the inner portion. The inner part is known as an embryo, and the outer layer will be part of the placenta. This placenta is attached to the lining of the uterus.

The time period of Implantation:

The time period of implantation is approximately six to twelve days after the conception or 24 to 26 days of your cycle.  In addition to it, implantation occurs near the start of the next period. You do not experience the regular PMS symptoms, but you will produce the HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). The pregnancy test detects the human chorionic gonadotropin that shows you are pregnant.

Symptoms of Implantation:

The most common symptom is light bleeding. Numerous symptoms come with the implantation that is similar to the menstruation. In addition, you may feel the uterus cramping that is due to the hormonal shifts. Moreover, you may observe the clear or stretchy mucus during ovulation. The swollen breasts also indicate the implantation.

If you are unsure about these symptoms, then it is preferable to take the pregnancy test when you miss a period. The pregnancy test will give you an accurate result.
