The Baby –
- Grown up to around 17 inches long and weighs around 3 pounds. It will pack on more pounds in 10 seeks as full-term babies are around 22 inches long.
- Starting to get a little congested there. But s/he still has space to roll, punch, kick and wiggle.
- It is not easy to tell the exact position of your baby (breech, head down, transverse etc.) but it is still too early to worry. A lot of babies settle in head down position for 36 weeks and some babies still flip around.
You –
- Women often feel the kicks so unnerving and sharp that they confuse them with uterine contractions. Even those women who have been pregnant already and been through labor already can still be confused.
Fetal is still growing and weighs around 3 pounds while gaining weight consistently. Bone marrow has started generating red blood cells and bones have started developing. The lanugo or white covering on the skin is fading away. The fetus started recognizing some voices as her hearing developed. Both parents can talk to h/er, laugh and sing. As your uterus keeps on expanding, your baby keeps on growing and added weight pulls the spine ahead in week 30.
