The Baby –
- Is almost 5 pounds.
- Most of the organs are working fine and weight gain is the major development behind him/her. These days, healthy weights are around 6 to 10 pounds for newborns.
You –
- Are developing all the motherly grace.
- Fatigue may be a big trouble for you. You may need to nap every day.
By 35th week, the baby weighs in around 5 and half pounds. It is an average weight for babies. There is only a small space left in the uterus. So, you will feel whenever your baby moves in the uterus. You may see the movement through your abdomen skin from time to time, such as punching, kicking and rolling.
At this point, you have to eat right, drink plenty of water and rest. Don’t jump, run or lift from the 35th week until active labor starts. Light exercise is recommended by some doctors like walking or yoga during the last month while others prefer bed rest. Women with multiples should go for bed rest until birth.
You have to start prenatal visits every week. Doctor will check the cervix to find out any change. Change is normal to the cervix and labor is not imminent at this point.
